Kafi Freud is a small café on Schaffhauserstrasse, a few minutes north of Zürich's center. We open early for the first coffee of the day, serve a daily-changing lunch through the afternoon, and welcome anyone looking for a quiet table — coffee lovers and hungry guests, families, readers, students, and people who just need a calm hour.
Simple food, without fuss
Seasonal ingredients, mostly meat-light cooking, and a daily lunch that changes when the market does. Eggs, bowls, fresh bread — done well.
A room you can settle into
Indoors and out — Friday through Sunday we run a quiet, laptop-off mode so the room belongs to conversations, not keyboards.

We cook with seasonal ingredients and keep things simple. Most of the menu is meatless, takeaway is always an option, and weekend brunch runs until 15:00. The lunch list rotates daily — these are just a taste of what's been on the chalkboard.
